Family Takeover: Rita Evans

8 July - 16 September 2018

Sundays, 2.00 - 4.30pm
Every Sunday throughout the exhibitions, families can drop-in to the Drawing Studio and galleries to take part in free, creative and fun activities led by our Family Artist-in-Residence Rita Evans. Taking inspiration from the exhibitions Peter Fraser: Mathematics and Yuko Mohri: Voluta families are invited to take part in a series of activities drawing on key themes from the exhibitions, working with light, sound and nature.
Join us for sessions where we will work with a range of materials and equipment to create light compositions, ‘conduct’ the galleries, and search for the rhythm in everyday objects.

Family Takeover is suitable for children of all ages and materials are provided free of charge, but donations are invited.

The space is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us if you have any additional access requirements.

Rita Evans is an artist based in London since 2004, completing her MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College in 2009. Since then, Rita has presented at residencies, performances and exhibitions internationally.

In 2015 Rita was awarded the Stephen Cripps’ Studio Award, a major Acme Residency & Awards Programme funded by The Henry Moore Foundation, Royal Opera House, High House Production Park Ltd and Stephen Cripps’s family. The award is for artists working with sound, movement and light.
