Katie Cuddon is the inaugural Ceramics Fellow selected in collaboration with Richard Slee. Over nine months, Cuddon uses the Ceramics Studio to develop her work and to research on the relationship between surface and drawing.
“The sculptural work I make in ceramic is created by hand-building a thin skin of clay, which I always think functions in the same way drawing marks might – mapping out forms and images and creating an illusion of figure and substance.”
The Fellowship culminates with an exhibition in the Artists’ Studio.
