This ceramics course offers an in-depth look at more advanced ceramic techniques. Through discussion and demonstration students will gain a better understanding of finishing ceramic pieces using developed building and decoration techniques. This course is suitable for those with some experience of ceramics who want to extend their knowledge and skills.
The course will be broken down into a series of demonstrations and small practical projects that will include:
• Two-part mould making
• Decorating and drawing with sgraffito and inlay
• Using coloured clays
Alice Foxen will lead this course. Alice is a London based ceramicist who graduated from Brighton University. Alice has exhibited in the UK and internationally and works in education, teaching a variety of ages how to realise their ideas in 3D materials. She won The Annex Collection Acquisition Award in March 2016. Read more
