Theft by Finding
Keith Wilson (b.1965) studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and at the Slade School of Art. His sculptures are assemblages of discarded objects which he collects from the street or comes across in other ways: furniture, musical instrument cases, photographs, toys etc. The pieces work in part as purely formal sculptural objects, but are never allowed to lose their sense of past lives and personal histories. This exhibition presents work made while Wilson was ‘on-site’ at the Centre working in Studio 1 during October and November 1995.
The exhibitions were organised by Camden Arts Centre and are supported by London Arts Board and the 1994 Prudential Award for the Arts
