"A soft layer of clay is filled with concrete - as both dry and become hard, the clay shrinks due to loss of moisture, the concrete cures and retains its shape. The clay, now much less of it, has detached itself from the concrete and crumbles and flakes off. Clay-dusted concrete remains." - Florian Roithmayr
