Caroline Achaintre's ceramic objects are imbued with a sense of animism and anthropomorphism, appearing as masks or characters. The materiality and colour of King Brick evokes a primal form.
Caroline Achaintre was artist-in-residence at Camden arts Centre in 2014.
Caroline Achaintre has participated in several group exhibitions includin Open London, Whitechapel Gallery, London, 2012 and New Art Form, Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), Toronto, 2013. In 2014 Achaintre presented a solo show at Tate Britain as part of the Tate BP Contemporary Projects.
