Insights Winter School Part 3: Fine Art and Ceramics
Saturday 6 December 2014
10.30am – 4.00pm
Camden Arts Centre
Aimed at young people who are thinking about a future in the arts, this fine art focused day gives young people (aged 17+) the opportunity to discuss what they might expect from a university course. You will have the opportunity to learn new techniques, meet professional artists making a career out of their arts practice, create new work for your portfolio and have a fun and unique experience.
The third session of the Winter School focuses on Fine Art and Ceramics and offers you the opportunity to have a taster workshop in each area.
This years’ Fine Art workshop is led by artist Claire Robbertson and focuses on experimental and abstract drawing using a life model. The Ceramics workshop is led by artist Katie Spragg and will introduce you to the technique, creating your own piece of ceramics that will be fired and collected at a later date.
Students will get a taster in the techniques and also have a special opportunity to tour the galleries and facilities at Camden Arts Centre.
Lunch is provided.
Insights is a collaborative project between Camden Arts Centre and Central Saint Martins School of Arts & Design and offers young people (aged 17+) the chance to explore art school in more depth while they consider applying to Foundation or Degree courses in the Arts.
This event is one of a number of free activities taking place as a part of the Insights project. More events are listed under 'Related' to the right.
