Part II: Engaging, creating networks and promoting your practice

Artists are invited to join this peer-led discussion forum to share knowledge and experience on issues surrounding contemporary art practice.

Promoting your practice, creating new networks and getting your work seen is important for any artist and dependent on engagement in a variety of different ways. This session addresses the subject of how to articulate, write about and promote your work for exhibitions, residencies and projects and doing so to different audiences. We will look at the structure of artists' statements and biographies as well as how to develop projects and networks with artists, curators, organisations and galleries, both virtually and physically.

Join Rosalind Davis to learn about key principles around how and why to engage people with your practice, with tips on building confidence to articulate this in imaginative, succinct and creative way.

Part I takes place on Saturday 26 July. Artists are welcome to attend one or both of these sessions.
