Screening: Woody Allen Triple Bill - Camden Art Centre

Screening: Woody Allen Triple Bill

Sunday 16 February
12.00 – 6.00pm

A screening of Woody Allen's Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), Sweet and Lowdown (1999) and Stardust Memories (1980), selected and introduced by Jesse Wine as part of his Ceramics Fellowship.

Wine finds similarities in the way Woody Allen makes films and artists produce art – the compulsion to constantly create and the self anxiety that comes with producing things. These films illustrate how Allen remains present in the act of making and executing ideas, a position that Wine describes as 'incredible and polarising, almost one of over responsible-ness, something I feel is often missing in art'.
