Artists’ Film in Focus: Cecilie Gravesen
Saturday 13 December
2.00 – 3.00pm
Artist Cecilie Gravesen discusses her recent project, Imbued, which explores frictions that arise from the metaphysical intent of ritual objects and the scientific concerns of heritage preservation. Gravesen is interested in the thresholds where the spirit is perceived to take residence in material form and how ritual objects are held in museums. The Imbued project has various outputs including films, sculpture and mixed media.
On this occasion Cecilie introduces three films from the Imbued project; Between Humans and Other Things (2011), Quiver (2013), and Rehearsal (2014) before opening up a wider dialogue around her work and the project with the audience.
