The Artist

Fredrik Andersson (a.k.a. FreddeLanka) is a Swedish illustrator, ceramicist and sometime writer, who has been living in London for the past 5 years. Andersson’s work focuses on homoeroticism, human interactions and bodies to broach the topic of sex in a colourful and sometimes comical way. Taking inspiration from his lived experience, Andersson uses bold shapes and colours to make objects such as ceramics, prints and textiles for the home, utilising his practice as a way of processing memories and thoughts. Family Takeover

Sundays, 2.00 – 4.30pm

Every Sunday throughout the exhibitions, families can drop-in to the Drawing Studio and galleries to take part in free, creative and fun activities led by our Family Artist-in-Residence Fredrik Andersson (a.k.a. FreddeLanka). Taking inspiration from Landline, an exhibition by Amy Sillman, families are invited to take part in a series of activities drawing on key themes from the exhibition, working with clay, colour and humour to creatively capture the human condition in all its strange and silly forms. Join us for sessions where we will work with a range of materials and ideas to create continuous paintings, animations, illustrations and zines.

Family Takeover is suitable for children of all ages and materials are provided free of charge, but donations are welcomed.
