Ceramics: Techniques in Focus

This course looks at specialist ways clay and paperclay can be formed by hand. It introduces techniques such as modular construction, making non-plaster moulds using coils and slings and bending using equipment including the extruder and templates. Students will develop their ceramic handbuilding skills alongside demonstration, discussion and individual advice. This course is suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience of working with clay. Core materials are provided.

Tutor: Katie Spragg
Katie graduated from Brighton University in 2010. Working with ceramics, plastics and illustration, she often leads workshops for both adults and children.
