Masterclass - Creative Writing - Camden Art Centre

Masterclass – Creative Writing

6, 13 & 20 August

Join artist and writer Julia Calver to consider writing as a process of investigation, speculation and thinking, seeking the qualities of things and thoughts. Working with short prose as our form, we will be experimenting with technique and style.

This workshop will focus your writing on the forms between poetry and fiction in non-narrative, descriptive short texts. Reading other writers of short works we will address the relation of texts to contexts, such as the book and the collection, and find satisfaction in honing and completing our own works.

This course is suitable for beginners and those seeking new techniques to refresh their practice. Participants will create a series of short writings which they can share with the group, find new ways of thinking about their practice and leave with new writing strategies.
