Masterclass - Creative Writing

Led by writer and artist Michael Crowe this master class runs over two evenings taking a playful approach to writing inspired by the artists’ experimental techniques. Through a series of whimsical exercises students will be introduced to inventive and creative starting points to producing short stories. This is an excellent course for beginners and those looking for creative stimulation in their writing.

Tutor: Michael Crowe
Michael Crowe studied Creative Writing at JMU, graduating in – 2001. He has exhibited internationally, most recently at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen and FRAC. He has appeared as a guest speaker at the BFI and the New Museum, NY. His writing, mostly short fiction, combines deadpan wit with absurd sentimentality.
