Ceramics - Studio Project - Camden Art Centre

Ceramics – Studio Project

This course invites students to practice ceramics in response to a brief, through personal interpretation and group discussion. The course provides individual support and is suitable for those with some ceramics experience who are looking for stimulation and guidance. Core materials are provided.

Using traditional techniques as a springboard for developing personal work with a contemporary twist, the first half of this course will use group discussions, demonstrations and experimentation to help develop ideas and skills for personal projects students will start in the second half of this course.

The main techniques this course will focus on are burnishing and smoke firing alongside core hand building techniques.

Tutor: Claire Bevacqua
Claire graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2001 and has since set up her own studio for producing and teaching ceramics.
