Insights - Camden Art Centre

Insights offers young people, aged 15+, the chance to explore art school in more depth while they consider applying to university.

In partnership with Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design, Insights supports young people in making informed decisions about their creative futures with guidance from artists, university tutors and students.

During Autumn 2015 we will be running our popular Winter School, with practical workshops across disciplines such as architecture, graphic design, fashion, textiles, fine art and ceramics, taking place both at Central Saint Martins and Camden Arts Centre. We’ll host portfolio talks for young people and teachers, in addition to artist talks. Working with us, participants can produce a new body of work, experience various arts disciplines and techniques, receive advice on their choices and feel more confident about how to structure an effective portfolio.

Insights is a part of our wider youth programme for young people aged 15 – 25 years.

Supported by the Tomart Foundation and organised in partnership with Central Saint Martins

Insights: Portfolio Surgeries

Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 January

This event is for young people in Year 13 that are applying for Foundation Art + Design courses. The portfolio surgeries are led by a tutor from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, for small groups of two to three students each. The sessions last an hour and you will be allocated a time slot when booking.

To book onto the portfolio surgeries you must have first attended the How to Build a Portfolio talk on 11 November, where we will explain what you can bring to the surgeries.
