Caroline Achaintre - Camden Art Centre

Caroline Achaintre creates ceramic sculptures, tufted wall hangings and watercolours that are seemingly indebted to disparate aesthetics, from primitive sculpture to postmodern design.

As artist-in-residence, Achaintre focused on the dialogue between an object and its display considering to what extent these are two sides of the same thing or if one serves as a context or habitat for the other.

Visitors were able to see her work in progress at various Open Studio events throughout the residency.
