Experimental Ceramics - Camden Art Centre

Experimental Ceramics

This short course will explore place, imagination, ceramics and space. Participants will be encouraged to work in a free and intuitive way to make, assemble and display their work in a group installation. Various techniques will be demonstrated, including making textured plaster bats, slip casting, press moulding, piping, extruding and pinching. Students can select from the different processes to create a ceramic piece or series of ceramic components. They will then have the opportunity to consider how these components can be constructed, arranged and displayed to culminate in a group installation. This course is suitable for those looking to work in an experimental and collaborative way with ceramics.

No previous experience is necessary.
