Ceramics: Smoke Firing

This course focuses on the specialist smoke firing process used in ceramics. Students will create hand-built sculptural forms using techniques such as coiling, slab building and press moulding. They will use these forms to experiment with masking techniques that produce unique surface patterns when fired. This is an excellent course for beginners and those looking to progress their ceramics practice.

Tutor: Dan Stafford 
Dan graduated from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff in 2000 and develops his own practice alongside teaching ceramics.
