1 Day Course: Ceramics and Sound

Saturday 15 February 2020, 10.30am – 4.30pm

Taking inspiration from the Athanasios Argianas exhibition this practical one-day course will explore the ways in which clay can be animated through sound. Using hand-building techniques, participants will explore sound and form to produce ceramic objects that operate as both playable instruments and sculptural objects.

Milan Tarascas will lead this course. Milan lives and works in London and is a recent graduate from the Slade School. He is a sculptor and musician who moves freely between different aspects of production relative to sound, performance and sculpture. As a current member of Rochester Square studio he facilitates regular workshops and events where participants are welcomed to become part of a landscape of incidences using clay as the central force and medium.
