Spiral Festival 2010

Camden Arts Centre is delighted to present Spiral Festival 2010, its free annual summer festival taking over the studios, garden and café for the bank holiday weekend in August – open to families and all ages.

The festival will present entertaining, quirky and engaging artists’ projects, workshops and performances featuring work from this year’s Spiral residency artists.

The residency programme sits at the very heart of all that Camden Arts Centre does. More than 80 artists from across the world have occupied the Artists' Studio, taking time to think, realise new ideas, tackle different disciplines and create new work. Their presence adds vitality and creativity to the whole programme and has resulted in some remarkable projects.

To celebrate 20 years of the Camden Arts Centre residency programme, three artists selected from past programmes have each been invited to the Artists’ Studio for a week to develop a new, collaborative piece of work which will form the basis of the Spiral Festival 2010. Serena Korda, Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa and Hayley Newman and The Gluts invite visitors to take part in the development of their short projects, through engaging in sculpture building actions, dance class rehearsals and greed anonymous meetings.

Enjoy the garden and cafe with special lunch offers, jugs of Pimms and ice creams - admission is free.
