We are delighted to present Spiral 2010 Festival, our free annual summer festival which takes place throughout the building, studios, garden and café during the bank holiday weekend. Open to families and visitors of all ages.
The Festival presents the perfect opportunity to look at, think about and make art. Join us for free drop-in workshops in drawing, print-making and clay led by artists Matthew Krishanu and Viyki Turnbull. Enjoy performances from our three resident artists (see below); and take a look at our current exhibitions. Have a fantastic bank holiday weekend experience, and enjoy the garden and café with special lunch offers, jugs of Pimms and ice cream.
The Spiral Residencies celebrate 20 years of the Artist-in-Residence Programme at Camden Arts Centre. Serena Korda, Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa and Hayley Newman and The Gluts have been selected from our past programme to use the Artists’ Studio for a week to develop a new, collaborative piece of work which will culminate at Spiral 2010 Festival. Visitors are invited to take part in the development of their projects, through participating in sculptural constructions, dance rehearsals, the production of viral music videos and a series of open studio days.

Come and build your own monumental sculpture from artist Serena Korda’s deceptive, unlikely objects and in doing so help her create a new ritualised dance to be performed at Spiral 2010 Festival.

Ever wondered what the lead singers of Coldplay, Iron Maiden or The Who do when the rest of the band takes centre stage? Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa will work with a choreographer to develop a new dance class; teaching participants how to dance like rock stars.

Join the artists on the film set and help them shoot a viral music video. Using a variety of costumes, scenarios and locations for their production the films will be premiered at Spiral 2010 Festival.
