Exhibitions Policy
Exhibitions are scheduled around two years in advance, concentrating on solo shows of artists based in Britain and internationally. Primarily artists are invited to develop projects with Camden Arts Centre. This selection is undertaken by the programme team, led by Director Jenni Lomax.
Camden Arts Centre has an established history of collaborations with other organisations in Britain and abroad - larger scale projects and touring exhibitions. The programme includes a number of group exhibitions, which are developed in collaboration with another organisation or an external curator/artist , such as Kerry James Marshall, Along the Way (2005), the Hayward Gallery for Dream Machines (2000) and An Aside, selected by Tacita Dean (2005). Camden Arts Centre does not normally show work by students or very recent graduates.
Please note that as the majority of exhibitions arise from direct invitations to artists and curators, we are unfortunately unable to accept proposals from individuals and return work if it is submitted. Instead you may wish to send proposals to some of the small artist run spaces or small commercial galleries.
