Andrew Kearney was born in Ireland in 1961 and lives and works in London. His installation works, often exploring such themes as boundaries and surveillance, are also concerned with natural cycles: growth and decay, seasonal change, light and darkness.
This installation was conceived specifically for Gallery 3. It involved photographic images, plaster castings, filtered daylight and sounds from the street outside, electronically relayed into the space. The gallery became an ever-changing space where aural and visual perceptions are constantly challenged.
This was his first one-person show in the UK.
