Front of House Assistants

Camden Arts Centre is dedicated to developing artists, educators and people with an interest in contemporary art. Alongside our education and exhibition programme we also actively engage with volunteers, offering a unique opportunity to gain experience with individual departments across the organisation. Volunteers donate one day a week to help us invigilate our gallery spaces, welcome visitors and assist them towards a full appreciation of the exhibitions. Our volunteers can share their passion for art by leading Guided Tours of the exhibitions and gain a valuable insight into one of London’s most popular art spaces through a variety of seminars, workshops and job shadowing.

As the public face of Camden Arts Centre Volunteer Front of House Assistants welcome visitors and are the first point of contact between the organisation and the public. Joining Camden Arts Centre as a volunteer would ideally suit those that have an interest in the work of the Centre, enjoy interacting with the public and working as part of a team.

We are particularly keen to work with volunteers from the local area and those interested in joining the team on a long-term basis.

‘Camden Arts Centre is one of the best places I have volunteered with so far!’ - current volunteer

'I’m having a great time, it’s been really enjoyable. I’m being as helpful as I can and getting a lot out of it. Everyone I’ve met is really lovely and it’s a pleasure working with and getting to know them.’ - current volunteer
